Dos Ojos  2 dives  

Barbie line - Bat cave 

A favorite among divers, "Cenote Dos Ojos"

is two neighboring cenotes which connect

in one large cavern system with huge pillars and stalactites.

With only 10 m max depth, offering two dives, very different form each other, in a perfect visibility, it makes for a great first cenote experience.

The Pit 

Deep Dive 

Descending in the middle of the Cenote through a shallow halocline toward the hydrogen sulfur cloud at 30 m, you observe the tree branches emerge from the cloud. Using a multilevel profile, we slowly spiral up the huge underground room, exploring the huge overhanging formations, before we reach the ceiling at 10 m. We usually end up admiring the beams of sunlight entering the Cavern. Some prehistoric bones and Mayan pottery can also be found at The Pit.

Nicte - ha 

"Water Flower"

Enter the beautiful cavern of "Cenote Nicte-ha", andenjoy the truly unique sight of the open water as we exit the cavern, where the mix of underwater flora, lighting and the occasional turtle visit makes this a mesmerizing experience. 

As Nicte-ha is a less popular cenote, this can make of a less crowded and more relaxed experience.

Dreamgate 2 dives 

Upstream - Downstream 

Dive one of the most decorated caverns the Riviera has to offer.  Going through millions of stalactites and stalagmites, this is for sure a dive you'll never forget. 

Dreamgate offers two dives very, very different from each other, one upstream and one downstream.   

To dive Dreamgate, you have to be a buoyancy master, have plenty of dive experience and excellent frog kick. 

Max depth: 7 m

Angelita 

"Little Angel"

Have a once in a life time dive experience diving this deep circular shaped cenote.

Play in the mystical cloud of hydrogen sulfur with big trunks and branches reaching out. 

Ascent  slowly along the decorated walls and admire the aerial views of the cloud and branches that slowly stay behind.

Car Wash 

Aktun ha 

With the water level just a few inches below ground, taxi drivers used to wash their cars at this cenote, hence it's common name "Car Wash". 

Enter the water through the roots and fallen trees, once inside, looking back towards the entrance, admire the panorama of the trees, fauna and lighting working together to create this amazing view. 

Car wash not only offers amazing formations, but also great fish and turtles encounters through the open water part of  the dive. 

Location: 69 km south of Playa / 9 km West of Tulum

Casa Cenote

Meet "Panchito"

Dive the "jungle" underneath the mangroves of one of the few surface rivers on the Peninsula.  

Casa Cenote is connected to the ocean, giving us a fresh-salty dive, with the occasional halocline.  

Casa Cenote is home to many big tarpons, fresh and salt water fish and of course our formal resident "Panchito", a friendly crocodile that can sometimes be spotted taking his daily sunbaths. 

Location: 58 km south of Playa / 11 km North of Tulum

Max depth: 7 m

Calavera

"Skull Cave"

With a tricky entrance through a ground hole, "Calavera" is a huge room decorated with giant formations. We go around the hill in the center of the cavern, moving through different halocline layers. The water takes a characteristic blue hue under the halocline, completely changing the feeling of the cavern!

Location: 63 km south of Playa / 3 km West of Tulum

Max depth: 18 m

Ponderosa

Also called "Ponderosa" this is a mangrove type cenote, with magic light rays passing through the tree branches. and roots This creates a beautiful photo opportunity. 

Coral fossils can be found everywhere, and it offers the strongest halocline among the cenotes. 

Garden of Eden is an excellent first experience as you dive along the open water at all times.

Location: 25 km south of Playa / 41 km North of Tulum

Max depth: 12 m

Tajma-ha

Tajma Hal

Enjoy the light show that the "sugar bowl cenote" offers, pass underneath the bat cave decorated with stalactites and stalagmites. 

Plenty of hidden fossils can be find along the way, cool haloclines will be encounter in the deeper parts of the cenote and the laser beams of light coming through holes in the cavern never disappoint. A very "complete" cavern experience.

Location: 28 km south of Playa / 39 km North of Tulum

Max depth: 16 m

Chac-mool 2 dives

Kukulcan - Chac Mool 

Offering 2 different dives, Kukulcan and Chac-mool, this site has it all! Dive along a beautiful light curtain, enjoy the special color of the surface, due to the concentration of tannic acid, and a cenote filled with marine fossils. 

The halocline and the dead trees laying on the bottom create a very special panorama on the second dive, as well as the freshwater turtles sometimes visiting this cenote.

Location: 23 km south of Playa /44 km North of Tulum

Zapote 

Hell Bells

Check out the bizarre unique formations Cenote Zapote has to offer you. 

 

Starting with what looks like a small entrance, the cenote opens up to a huge chamber full of "bell shaped" formations, the only ones in the world created underwater!

A cloud of hydrogen sulfur and a dead tree await for you at 30 m, adding to a strange atmosphere.

Maravillas

Deep Dive

From a circular entrance into the ground, divers access an enourmous spherical room. At 28 m of depth divers will go through a cloud of hydrogen sulfur (deep dive specialty required) under which they will be able to admire the famous hells bells. Coming back up above the cloud, we will witness the rays of light entering the room from the entrance above and playing with the cloud below. 

 

We will then slowly spiral up this massive underground room, often admiring the descents of the freedivers training in this popular cenote. The dive ends up at 10 meters, under the ceiling, where speleothems and fossils can be found.

Cenote Arco Iris 

A hidden place

Cenote Arco Iris is for the adventurers. 

Deep in the jungle, a 300 m walk is necessary. But it'll be totally worth it.  

 

With nothing around it, this cenote will take you away from the crowds. 

 

Offering a deep dive, a halocline and a cloud of sulfur, this cenote seems to have it all. Encounter some blind fish as we go through the giant stalagmites at the bottom of the cenote. 

 

Ascend then slowly along the walls filled with small fossils and with the magic beams of light entering from above.
